We offer board-and-train, private lessons and day training, and group classes. We believe that no two dogs and humans are the same, and therefore, we tailor your training program based on your needs!

Board & Train

When it comes to training your dog, allow us to take the stress and burden off of you! Board and trains are a great way to build the learning foundation for your dog. Lets face it, dog training takes time which can be hard to come by! By sending your dog to a board and train, we get your dog on the right path to good manners! Each client will complete a questionnaire so that we can tailor your dog’s training program. Remember, you do need to keep up the training when your dog returns home, so s/he does not revert back to his old ways! Reach out to us today to learn more about our board and train program!

Private Lessons

Private lessons are training for both the human and the dog! We have an option where you can come to us or we can come to you (Limited to Loudoun County and parts of Fairfax County)! Day Training

Coming in January 2024. Send your dog to school in the morning and pick him/her up at the end of the day! Each client will fill out a questionnaire to explain their training needs. We will work on those needs and complete a report card at the end of the day. We ask that at the end of your day training package, each client comes in for a lesson so that you can practice with your dog!

Group Classes

We will offer on-going group classes for puppies and adults to help refine manners. Group classes are a great way to practice being around other people and dogs to help build your dog’s confidence and socialization skills.

Furever K9 did a very good job training our dog during a 3-week board and train program. Prior to training, our dog would sometimes be aggressive to other dogs and people during walks. We highly recommend Lauren at Furever K9 if you need someone to train your dog.

Boarding and Daycare

Our Boarding and Daycare is unique in that we require all dogs to have a behavioral evaluation either by way of being our training client or with a scheduled evaluation. Why do we do this? We aim to ensure we’re a great fit for your dog, providing a comfortable “home away from home.”

Dog Boarding

While your dog is with us, we prioritize a calm, enjoyable experience. They’ll enjoy group play sessions throughout the day, access to an outdoor potty yard (partially covered for bad weather), and a cozy 4×6 suite with a Kuranda bed. For our smaller guests, additional bedding is provided for extra comfort on their cot. Special one-on-one (or small group) activities are also available as an add-on, such as “Mailman” where we walk down our long scenic drive to the mailbox, and “Principal for the Day,” where your dog experiences everything our staff does—including group play and unique facility adventures! We also offer “Assistant Principal for a Half Day,” similar to the full day, but half the time. We also offer the option of seasonal fun like holiday meals, “pup-corn” time (yes, that is dog-speak for “popcorn”!), Barkuterie Boards, and even a Kong stuffed with frozen peanut butter! We’re committed to making each guest’s stay enriching, safe, and enjoyable!

Peace of Mind Membership

If you are a current client and want to make sure your dog will have a place to stay whenever you need it, then this annual membership is for you! If you are a family that travels often for work, travel sports or need to board your dog often whatever the reason may be, you can now take comfort in the fact that your dog will always have a safe place to go. This membership allows you to board your dog without the worry of being turned away because we are full. We only have a limited number of annual memberships, so grab yours now! This membership is non-refundable and will expire one year from the purchase date. Please note, each membership covers one dog and is not transferable.

Starting one year from the purchase date, the Peace of Mind (POM) annual membership provides clients with a year of guaranteed boarding availability for their dog at Furever K9. It does not cover the cost of boarding.
The POM membership is only valid for clients whose dog has been evaluated and cleared to board with Furever K9.
POM annual membership is valid for only one dog per membership and is not transferable to any other dog.
POM annual membership is valid only for the ability to board at any time.
Please note that, while not required, we do request that you offer at least one week notice when booking during peak times.
There are a limited number of memberships available.
POM annual membership is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Dog Daycare

Knowing your dog is in a safe and stimulating environment allows you to focus on your day, whether at work or running errands. While your dog is with us, s/he will be cared for and stimulated both physically and mentally.

Daycare is offered as a monthly subscription; a flat fee for the number of days will be paid at the beginning of the month. You choose which day(s) of the week you prefer and you will be billed accordingly.

Our daycare’s subscription-only pricing ensures a reliable, consistent experience for both pets and their owners. By using a subscription model, we can better plan for each dog’s care, tailoring our resources and attention to create a safe and well-structured environment. This setup also allows us to form a deeper bond with each dog, building on their training and ensuring they feel at home every visit.

For pet owners, a subscription provides peace of mind, knowing their spot is secure. It also makes budgeting for their dog’s care simpler with a predictable, consistent cost each month. Plus, it helps our team maintain the quality and continuity of care that sets Furever K9 apart.
Our subscription-only model also allows us to cap the number of dogs each day, creating a more personalized and manageable environment. By limiting attendance, we’re able to form consistent groups or “packs” of dogs who get to know each other, promoting positive interactions and reducing stress. This approach ensures that every dog experiences a stable, familiar pack dynamic, which is beneficial for their socialization and emotional well-being.
With the same friendly faces (both canine and human!) each day, dogs feel more at ease, allowing us to provide the safest and highest quality care for each unique pup.

Grooming

We’re excited to introduce Kathy Taylor, who will join our team on November 12! With 13 years of grooming experience at Petsmart, including a year as a manager, Kathy is dedicated to ensuring dogs look fabulous while having a positive experience.

Hours

Each client will be able to book a specific time for their appointment between the hours of 8:30 and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday with the occasional Saturdays. At the conclusion of the service, Kathy will text you to let you know your dog is ready for pick up!

Vaccination Requirements: Please provide proof of rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and a negative fecal test from within the last 12 months. Titer tests are also acceptable.
